Popular nightclub Paris Lounge Mirema announces closure after 5 years

Popular Nairobi entertainment hotspot Paris Lounge and Grill has announced its closure after five years of operation, marking the end of a venue that became a fixture in the city’s nightlife scene.

The establishment, registered and operated by businessman Daniel Muriithi Kibe, known for his role in Nairobi’s “Sheree” culture, confirmed the shutdown in an emotional statement reflecting on its journey.

“Every story has a final chapter, and this is the end of an unforgettable era for Paris Lounge & Grill. Thank you for the love, the nights, the music, and the memories. The curtain falls, but the legacy lives on,” read part of the statement.

The announcement sparked mixed reactions among locals, with some questioning the reason behind the closure, while others speculated on possible renovations or a rebrand.
