KIDAPAWAN CITY — The heirs of a family in Makilala, Cotabato province whose lands are traversed by the national highway announced Monday they would no longer temporarily close the property tomorrow, June 2.
Markjo Berg Tejada, one of the heirs of the Tejada family, said the family decided to heed the call of the Department of Public Works and Highways-Region 12 (DPWH-12) not to barricade the road within their 1.5-hectare land.
Tejada said that DPWH-12 representatives requested the family to abandon their plan pending results of the hearing of the case on June 11.
Last week, the Tejada family put out a billboard announcing the closure of a stretch of their property straddled by the national highway starting June 2.
