BJP MLAs Deepak Barman, Arjun Singh, Shankar Ghosh, Gauri Shankar Ghosh, Tapas Roy and Manoj Kumar Oraon, among 35 others took oath as Cabinet Ministers in CM Suvendu Adhikari's led state government. West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Sunday announced that 35 ministers will be sworn into his Cabinet on Monday, in a major expansion of the state government that will bring the Council of Ministers to 41 members. Governor R.N. Ravi administered the oaths. Adhikari and five BJP MLAs, Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Kirtania, Nisith Pramanik and Kshudiram Tudu were sworn in by Governor Ravi on May 9 following the BJP's landslide win in the West Bengal assembly elections.With the addition of 35 ministers, the Cabinet will have 41 members including the Chief Minister. The state's 294-member assembly allows for a maximum of 44 ministers under Article 164(1A) of the Constitution, which caps the Council of Ministers at 15% of the assembly strength.

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari's government expanded significantly on Monday. Thirty-five new ministers took their oath, bringing the total Council of Ministers to 41 members. Governor R.N. Ravi administered the oaths at Nabanna. This expansion follows the initial swearing-in of Adhikari and five other BJP MLAs on May 9. The state assembly allows for a maximum of 44 ministers.
