Amaechi also delivered a damning assessment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, saying he has seen no significant achievement since the President came to power in 2023.
Former Minister of Transportation and ex-Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has claimed that former President Muhammadu Buhari admitted to being overwhelmed by the demands of governing Nigeria.
Amaechi also delivered a damning assessment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, saying he has seen no significant achievement since the President came to power in 2023.
The former governor made the remarks during a one-on-one interview with Nigerian filmmaker Chude Jideonwo, where he reflected on his years in government, the performance of past administrations and Nigeria’s current political and economic situation.
Amaechi recounted what he described as a private conversation with Buhari during their time in government, claiming the former president acknowledged that leading a democratic government was far more challenging than ruling as a military head of state.
