Srinagar: Army on Sunday apprehended an intruder from PoJK along LoC in Uri sector of Baramulla in north Kashmir. The intruder was identified as Zeeshan Mir (22), who was intercepted by the forces of Chinar Warriors while crossing LoC in Uri Sector. "The vigilant troops maintained restraint while challenging the intruder and surgically apprehended the individual. The intruder was handed over to the Jammu and Kashmir Police for further legal proceedings," Army informed. Police sources said Mir had crossed over to meet his "lover" from the Silikote area of this side of Uri, who was in touch with him over phone. However, the plans to flee with his lover failed when he was apprehended by the forces. In another incident, Army informed that two persons from Sopore along with their guide were apprehended when they were attempting to exfiltrate from LoC in Uri. - Hakeem Irfan Rashid

An intruder from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir was apprehended by the Army along the Line of Control in Uri sector. The 22-year-old, identified as Zeeshan Mir, was attempting to cross into India to meet his girlfriend. In a separate incident, two individuals from Sopore and their guide were apprehended while trying to exfiltrate.
