Harriet Sperling is set to marry Peter Phillips next weekend - and apparently already has lots in common with Kate.The happy couple will get married in Kemble, Gloucestershire, on Saturday 6 June with many of Peter's royal relatives, including his mum Princess Anne, uncle King Charles and cousin Prince William, expected to attend. The pair will tie the knot in a private ceremony at All Saints Church. Mr Phillips, 48, is the brother of Zara Tindall, and the son of Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips.Mr Phillips lives nearby on his mother's Gatcombe Park estate in Minchinhampton. He split from his first wife, Autumn in 2020 after 12 years of marriage and shares custody of their two children, Savannah, 15, and 14-year-old Isla. The pair married in a grand royal wedding in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, in 2008. Mr Phillips' engagement to Ms Sperling, who he began dating in 2024, was announced in August last year.The couple were guests of Charles and Camilla at Royal Ascot in June, and were invited to take part in the traditional carriage procession the royal family make onto the famous Berkshire racecourse to signal the start of the day. But it's not only the King and Queen who Harriet is said to get on with.Just one year older than Kate at the age of 45, the NHS nurse is known to have a similar interest in fashion, wearing brands like Self Portrait and Beulah, the Mail reported.Harriet has also had her own 'Kate effect, moment, after she was spotted recently sporting a Dilli Grey dress, which prompted the company known for its handmade designs, to release an updated version following a surge in demand.Kate and Harriet also share similar interests, reports say, with the latter being a keen supporter of childhood development. She is a trained nurse specialising in paediatrics, and online bio says she is “passionate about early brain development in babies and seeing children thrive”.In 2010, she was even part of a team that helped save the life of a desperately ill baby after the child, named Phineas, was suddenly hit by a deadly virus at just three weeks old.Female allies around Kate's age in the royal household are far and few between these days following the death of the late Queen, the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle’s departure from royal life and relocation to California, and scrutiny on Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice amid controversy surrounding their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.Harriet, meanwhile, is known to be a good writer and someone who is not shy of revealing details about her Christian faith and as a single mum.“My daughter and I journeyed 10 years with only each other. I liken us to an island and it has often felt hard to imagine anyone joining that island,' she wrote.“The unique relationship between a single mother and her child is forged in the fires of struggles and victories. It's a bond characterised by love and survival against the odds.“This journey has deepened my faith, teaching me to trust in God's plan and to find strength in his love.”Kate is also known to write, penning the essay ‘The power of Human Connection in a Distracted World via the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood’.Harriet appears to have been welcomed warmly into The Firm’s fold and was seen chuckling with the King at Royal Ascot last year.She is now a regular a major events such as Cheltenham and Wimbledon.Harriet and Peter Phillips’ engagement was announced in August last year. A statement released on the couple’s behalf said: “Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their official engagement.“Both families were informed jointly of the announcement and were delighted with the wonderful news of their engagement.”Queen Camilla, Prince Edward and Sophie are also anticipated to be amongst the guests, as are Peter's divorced parents, Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, and his stepdad Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.His younger sister Zara and her husband Mike Tindall are expected to attend, likely bringing their children, Mia, Lena, and Lucas.Peter's daughters from his first marriage, Savannah and Isla, along with Harriet's daughter, Georgina will also be part of the ceremony.It's not known yet whether Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and eight year old Prince Louis will accompany their parents William and Kate to the ceremony.Article continues belowSarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, along with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are not expected to be present on the day.
