May 31 (UPI) -- The U.S. military said it has carried out a strike on a boat suspected of trafficking drugs in the eastern Pacific Ocean, killing three people.
U.S. Southern Command announced the attack late Saturday.
"Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations," SOUTHCOM said in a post on X.
"Three male narco-terrorists were killed during this action. No U.S. military forces were harmed."
SOUTHCOM also posted a drone video of the strike.
