Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been named the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign.

The award was announced by UEFA’s Technical Observer Group following another outstanding European campaign from the Georgian winger, who played a key role in PSG’s successful title defence.

Kvaratskhelia finished the competition with 10 goals and six assists in 16 appearances, helping Luis Enrique’s side secure their second consecutive Champions League crown. He also covered 124.17 kilometres during the tournament and recorded a top speed of 33.7 km/h.

The 25-year-old was instrumental in PSG’s triumph, particularly in the final against Arsenal, where he won the penalty that allowed Ousmane Dembélé to equalise after being fouled by Cristhian Mosquera.

One of his most memorable performances came in PSG’s dramatic 5-4 victory over Bayern Munich in the first leg of the semi-finals. Kvaratskhelia scored twice in the thrilling encounter, including a superb curling effort and a powerful second-half strike.
