Peacocke is a 740-hectare residential development on the city’s south side that will eventually have around 10,000 new properties.

The deputy mayor calls it the “most significant growth area” in the region’s history.

And a business leader says it’s key to keeping young people in the region.

Pavit Aujila had always lived in nearby Glenview. But when she fell pregnant last year, the 28-year-old and her husband decided they needed a new house - and Peacocke fit the bill.
