Kevin McKillop knows he is on borrowed time.

And he doesn’t want to waste it worrying about a 15.5m tall cellphone tower blocking the view from his Pāpāmoa home.

McKillop, 70, has liver cancer. He was told he had six months to live, but that was on January 27 last year and he is still alive, and in fighting spirit.

“I’ve always been a battler and I’m not going to cry my heart out, so if this tumour wants me it’s going to have to fight me for it,” he says.
