The inauguration of the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS), Sanathnagar in Hyderabad is likely to be held on June 11, according to a senior Health Department official. The hospital was earlier expected to be inaugurated around Telangana Formation Day on June 2, but the programme has been tentatively rescheduled owing to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s prior engagements.The official said the inauguration is expected to be accompanied by a public meeting, during which the Chief Minister may issue appointment and posting orders to doctors, nurses and other healthcare personnel who will be deployed at the facility.Telangana Director of Medical Education (DME) A. Narendar Kumar said almost all major works at the institution have been completed. He added that the facility is also being equipped with international suites and premium patient rooms, which are among the final components awaiting completion before the hospital becomes fully operational.
