Responsive, a software company that leverages AI to help businesses respond to, prepare/submit bids, tenders and other proposals, has processed more than $1 trillion in business opportunities through its platform.Speaking to businessline, Ganesh Shankar, co-founder and CEO of Responsive said that the US-based company, which has a significant presence in Coimbatore, has seen a “high double-digit growth” in revenue over the last year, and expects similar growth figures for the current year. He did not disclose the exact financial metrics.The company processes over $30 billion worth of opportunities every month across its customer base of over 2000 globally which includes firms like Google, Microsoft, US Bank and Capgemini, Shankar added.The current geopolitical climate and rapid adoption of AI is driving growth for Responsive as enterprises and government agencies re-evaluate vendors more frequently, increasing the demand flexible response management solutions, Responsive has observed.“Demand for AI and security related assessments has gone up tremendously. Existing customers are asking more AI and security-related questions, and our customers are increasingly using our platform to respond to them,” said Shankar.As for its client mix, Shankar said that the company has a diversified portfolio of customers with about 20 per cent from the technology sector, 15 per cent from financial services, 10–15 per cent from Healthcare, 10-15 per cent from consulting/professional services and the remaining from 50 per cent from other sectors like construction, telecommunications, non-profits, media and other industries. Beyond responding to bids, the company also helps organisations issue bids. Shankar said that about 15 per cent of Responsive’s business comes from such issuers with the remaining from responders.Responsive currently has a headcount of about 500 employees out of which about half the base is in Coimbatore with small teams in pockets across India and globally.
