Russian forces launched more than 2,300 strike drones, nearly 1,560 guided aerial bombs, and 108 missiles of various types against Ukraine over the past week.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
He said the attacks were directed "simply at ordinary civilian infrastructure – residential buildings and energy facilities."
"Every day, we are working to ensure greater protection against Russian terror. Yesterday, we received a new IRIS-T launcher. We thank Germany for its constant contribution to protecting people; thousands upon thousands of lives have been saved thanks to such strong support. But we also need missiles for air defense systems so that we have sufficient capabilities to repel Russian attacks," Zelensky said.
He also noted recent agreements with Sweden, including a new support package aimed at strengthening Ukraine's Air Force with Gripen fighter jets.
