Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has issued a stern warning to commissioners and special advisers in his administration, declaring that poor performance, disloyalty and negligence will no longer be tolerated as his government intensifies efforts to deliver on its campaign promises.
The governor delivered the message during the Hawan Nasarawa Sallah homage in Kano, where he urged political appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication, accountability and measurable results.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Director-General of Media and Publicity, Government House Kano, Yusuf stressed that public office holders must remain focused on service delivery and support the administration’s development agenda.
The governor said his administration would continue to assess the performance of commissioners and advisers, warning that those who fail to meet expectations should either improve their output or be prepared to leave office.
He emphasized that accountability remains a central pillar of his government, adding that residents of the state expect tangible results from those entrusted with leadership positions.
