Devotees visiting Sreekrishna Temple, Guruvayur, will soon benefit from a smoother and time-bound darshan experience, with the Devaswom set to introduce a trial online system (virtual queue). Announcing the move, Devaswom Chairman A.V. Gopinath said the virtual queue is being implemented on an experimental basis to streamline crowd management and improve convenience for devotees. He noted that the initiative is a precursor to the proposed face recognition-based system being planned by the Devaswom. The decision has also been taken in compliance with directions from the Kerala High Court to ensure hassle-free darshan. “The aim is to provide a more organised and comfortable darshan experience for devotees,” he said.Gopinath also stated that the Devaswom’s accounts section has been fully computerised, marking a step forward in administrative modernisation. The introduction of the virtual queue is expected to significantly reduce waiting time and improve overall efficiency at the temple. Published - May 30, 2026 08:52 pm IST
