Twenty-nine individuals indulging in indecent acts in public places were arrested by the Cyberabad She Teams during 104 decoy operations over the past week.According to the Women and Child Safety Wing, 37 petty cases were registered against the offenders, while the remaining individuals were counselled. During the same period, She Teams received 20 complaints from women through various channels and initiated appropriate action.The Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) rescued four victims and apprehended one accused in a case registered under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act (PITA).Officials also facilitated the reunion of 39 families through counselling conducted at Family Counselling Centres and Centres for Domestic and Empowerment of Women (CDEW), helping resolve disputes between spouses.As part of awareness and preventive initiatives, AHTU and SHE Teams organised programmes across the Cyberabad Commissionerate, reaching 1,844 participants. The sessions focused on issues including human trafficking, child trafficking, eve-teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child rights, child labour, stalking, begging, cyberbullying and cyber fraud. Participants were also educated about emergency helplines such as Women’s Helpline 181, Childline 1098, Dial 100 and the Cybercrime Helpline 1930.Interactive session heldMeanwhile, the Cyberabad police and the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), in association with Thomson Reuters International Services Pvt. Ltd., organised an interactive awareness session under the “Bring Your Child to Work” initiative at Madhapur on Friday.More than 50 children aged between eight and 15 years, along with their parents, participated in the programme. Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Women & Child Safety Wing K. Srujana shared her professional experiences and encouraged children to pursue their goals with confidence. She also highlighted the role of the police as accessible protectors of society and urged children to seek help whenever needed.The event also featured sessions on personal safety, stranger awareness, cyber safety and responsible use of social media. Interactive activities involving children and parents were organised to reinforce safety messages while encouraging communication and family bonding.Officials said the initiative was aimed at promoting child safety awareness and strengthening engagement between law enforcement agencies, corporate organisations and families.
