It's been around 17 years since Diversity won the nation over with their high-energy routines and acrobatic dance moves. Now after beating Susan Boyle in the final, where are the Diversity members today?11:19, 30 May 2026You probably wouldn't believe it's been 17 years since Diversity first hit our TV screens. The dance group won Britain's Got Talent in 2009, swooping into take the crown ahead of the much-loved Susan Boyle during the third series.‌Now with a fire-juggler, dance group and magician among the finalists this evening (May 30), judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI, have yet another difficult task ahead of them. Since Diversity won hearts over with their energetic dance moves, the group, from London, has gone from strength to strength. Led by choreographer Ashley Banjo, the group now tours across the UK, and operates a dedicated training facility in Essex, offering both in-person classes and online memberships.‌While the troupe is still going strong, even after all these years, there's been a lot of changes along the way. So where are the Diversity members now?‌Ashley BanjoThe frontman is the creative force of the group, and remains the face of Diversity after all those years. The 37-year-old also built a massive solo TV career, appearing as a judge on Dancing on Ice, Britain's Got Talent and the creator of The Real Full Monty specials. In 2023, he made his West End debut, playing the Tin Woodman in the revival of The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium. A few years earlier, Ashley was at the centre of controversy when a Black Lives Matter-inspired dance routine on BGT generated over 30,000 complaints from Ofcom, making it one of the most complained-about television moments in UK history.Away from the dancefloor, Ashley is a dad-of-two to Rose and Micah who he welcomed with this then-wife Francesca. The couple announced their separation back in 2022. Today, he's currently travelling across the UK as part of the Diversity SOUL tour.‌Jordan BanjoAshley's younger brother Jordan was also a member of the OG Diversity squad who won Britain's Got Talent. Aside from the dance group, Jordan, now 33, has appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, The Masked Dancer and even hosted the KISS Breakfast Show with fellow group member Perri Kiely. The pair became quite the duo, having hosted the weekly Sunday afternoon show until their very last on January 30, 2026. His other ventures include boxing, where he fought in a Misfits match on March 7 this year.‌A look into Jordan's personal life and the dancer is a dad-of-three and devoted family man after tying the knot to influencer and business owner Naomi in 2022. He's also currently touring with the group.Perri KielyOne of the youngest members of the group with curly hair anyone would die for. Perri remains a core performer and choreographer for the group and regularly tours with Diversity. He's known for his dance moves, but not for his chat-up lines after appearing on the second series of the E4's Celebs Go Dating.‌On the series, he was famously timid, struggling with his confidence and felt as though people viewed him as the shy young boy from Diversity. Soon after he formed an adorable bromance with reality star Joey Essex and eventually paired up with a date.Perri has worked on numerous TV projects, like Dancing on Ice and Jordan and Perri's Ultimate Block Party. The pair were also a radio partnership on KISS Breakfast between 2019 and 2026.Today, the 30-year-old shares a glimpse of his busy schedule on Instagram, as well as his smitten relationship with actress and dancer Jess Pickles, who he's been dating since early 2023.‌Sam CraskeAnother original member who continues to perform live tours with the group is Sam. While he's still deeply involved in the choreography, the dancer also takes part in classes at Diversity Dance Studios. He also made an appearance on Celebs Go Dating and famously dated Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix for two years before splitting in 2013.When he's not showcasing his moves on Instagram, Sam offers a glimpse into his world of parenthood with partner Megan. The couple share two children together after welcoming their latest addition to the family, a son named Blake on October 27 last year.Sam and Megan also have son Caleb, two, who was born in May 2023.‌Mitchell CraskeThe other youngster of the group was the one you'd occasionally see being chucked in the air.Mitchell is still loyal to the Diversity family and continues to tour nationwide with the group. He also teaches classes and operates out of Essex/London alongside his work as a social media content creator.‌Referring to himself as "small, dark and handsome" on his Instagram, the 30-year-old burst onto the scene when he was just 12, making him the baby of the 10-piece group.Robert AnkerAfter making his name as a 2009 BGT winner, Robert went on to appear in videos for music stars such as Paloma Faith and Jessie J. He also appeared in the West End show Thriller Live, often dubbed as "incredible talent".‌But the Diversity family faced tragedy when Robert died in a car crash in Canada back in 2017. The dancer, who was born in Essex, moved to the Great White North in 2016 to marry his girlfriend Cyndi, before his car collided with a pick-up truck. At the time, tributes poured for Robert who sadly passed away at the scene. His cousin set up a JustGiving page to raise money for family members to fly out to Canada for his funeral.Article continues belowThe McNaughton brothersIan and Jamie McNaughton were also the founding members of the group. But since their triumph in 2009, they stepped away from the troupe to pursue other endeavours. They both keep a low profile, with no public records indicating involvement in professional dance or entertainment.Nowadays the BAFTA-winning group is touring the UK with their concept show 'SOUL'. While the key members are still part of the dance team, Diversity now consists of 14-15 core performers, featuring many new recruits.
