Fans have been left convinced that actor Jacob Elordi will replace Daniel Craig as James Bond after his new Chanel ad raised suspicions.11:33, 30 May 2026Jacob Elordi goes full James Bond in Alfonso Cuarón's Bleu De Chanel adEver since it was announced that Daniel Craig was stepping down from his role as James Bond, speculation over his replacement has been rife. A number of high profile names have been thrown into the mix including Idris Elba, Tom Holland and Taron Egerton.‌But now, fans are convinced that Euphoria star Jacob Elordi will take over as the espionage expert, ahead of the next film within the 007 franchise.‌This comes after an advert for luxury brand Chanel was released earlier this week, unveiling his James Bond-esque skills.‌In the video, he was seen looking sophisticated in a tailored black suit, a crisp white shirt and a black tie. The clip followed him becoming a target as a masked burglar tried to steal the latest Chanel fragrance. It starts off with the actor, 28, opening a safe to remove the brand's latest scent, Bleu De Chanel L’Exclusif. But the product was stolen by a woman in a lace mask. Similar to that of a Bond movie, he chased the burglar, showing off his agility in a desperate bid to retrieve the perfume.‌As soon as the advert was released, fans wasted no time in suggesting that he is set to replace Daniel Craig, questioning whether the Chanel advert was simply a "soft launch" for the announcement."I think they’re preparing us for the James Bond announcement," one said, as another questioned his character's recent Euphoria plot, agreeing: "Nate died to be James Bond in next life is so premium.""Does anyone think this is a sponsored push for Elordi to play cinema's most famous British secret agent?" a social media fan questioned, as an Instagram user said: "Jacob is giving Bond vibes."‌Since his departure from playing Bond, Daniel has been involved in a number of different roles including the film Knives Out, Wake Up Dead Man.In an interview with Radio Times last year ahead of the third Knives Out film, he said: "I'm not saying no to things that I might have been a little bit wary about before.‌"When the Bond thing was going on in my life, the juxtaposition between that and another role would sometimes feel self-conscious. I'm working harder than I ever have, but I'm also just enjoying it more than I ever have. I get to do really interesting, different stuff."During his role as the super-spy, Daniel had made it clear that it was physically demanding. While filming his fourth film within the franchise, Sceptre, he unfortunately broke his leg.In a 2021 interview with the publication he said: "To be completely honest, I was thinking: I don’t know if I can do another one of these. I finished filming Spectre with a broken leg.‌"To your point about being in my 50s now, I thought, 'Do I have this in me? Do I want to go through all of this?' I needed a break. But a little more skill in the answer might have been better. I was joking, but it came across as ungrateful."And when speaking to the Guardian about the impact the role had on his life he said back in 2015:"You know, it sounds awful, but I've been left a wealthy man by doing this. I can afford to live very comfortably."Things are taken care of. Family and kids are taken care of and that's a massive relief in anybody's life. I'm incredibly fortunate."Article continues belowLike this story?
