Saturday, 30 May 2026 1:57 PM MYT KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 — Four train carriages that derailed near Chan Sow Lin Station recently have been successfully placed back on the tracks and transported to the depot for inspection and further action by the technical team.In a Facebook post today, Rapid KL said recovery works carried out yesterday and in the early hours of this morning involved reconnecting the train carriages to a specialised track vehicle to enable their safe and controlled removal from the site.“Efforts are being intensified to ensure safe and comfortable journeys for passengers can be restored as quickly as possible,” the post said.On Thursday, a train on the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line derailed near Chan Sow Lin Station due to a fault in a track switch, disrupting service schedules.Yesterday, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the affected section of track is expected to resume operations by next Wednesday at the latest.He also said all stations on the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line remain operational, although services are running on a modified schedule to ensure train operations can continue while recovery works are carried out. — Bernama
