Newcastle United have secured a massive profit following Anthony Gordon’s €80 million move to Barcelona, turning a €45.6 million investment into one of the club’s most lucrative transfer deals in recent years.
Barcelona confirmed the signing of the England winger on Friday, with the La Liga champions handing the 25-year-old a five-year contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2031.
The transfer means Newcastle will bank more than €34 million above the fee they paid Everton for Gordon in 2023, while the overall package could rise to approximately €40 million in profit through performance-related add-ons.
