The incident occurred on May 20, 2026 (Wednesday) as the victim, identified as Berry Henderson, 37, was standing at a bus stop near Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue around 3 p.m, according to news platform KTLA 5.According to the outlet, surveillance video shows Henderson running into the street as a dog chases and bites him aggressively. In a bid to defend himself, the victim pulled out a knife and stabbed the dog. At that point, four men — including the dog’s owner — rushed in and attacked Henderson. One of the suspects, armed with a machete, was captured on video stabbing and punching him.The fatal attack left the victim’s loved ones stunned as his cousin, Sharon Grimes, claimed thaty no bystanders came forward to help Henderson. “People around weren’t doing anything,” she said, as quoted by KTLA 5. “I didn’t see anybody try to come to his rescue, with all that blood.
