As the 2026 Palarong Pambansa nears its conclusion, the National Capital Region (NCR) continues to lead the medal tally in the regular sports category.As of Saturday morning, NCR has collected 58 gold medals, 48 silver medals, and 49 bronze medals. Region IV-A (CALABARZON) remains in second place with 41 golds, 40 silvers, and 38 bronzes, while Region VI (Western Visayas) ranks third with 28 golds, 25 silvers, and 24 bronzes.In the demonstration sports category, Region XII (SOCCSKSARGEN) leads the standings with four gold medals, five silver medals, and nine bronze medals.Meanwhile, Region VI (Western Visayas) tops the Para Games medal tally with 21 gold medals, 22 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals.Here is the medal tally as of Saturday, 9:00 a.m., according to the Department of Education.—JKC, GMA News
