Quantum Machines Achieves 99.5% Two-Qubit Gate Fidelity Operating Rigetti’s Novera QPU
Quantum Machines (QM) has operated Rigetti Computing’s commercially available Novera superconducting quantum processing unit (QPU) using external control hardware and software, reaching a 99.5% median two-qubit gate fidelity. Configured via the OPX1000 orchestration platform and managed by QUAlibrate automation software, the onsite optimization process achieved full calibration within ten days. The results match the peak internal calibration metrics recorded by the hardware manufacturer, validating that high-performance superconducting processors can maintain stable execution parameters when decoupled from the developer’s proprietary control infrastructure.
