The pot is 545 calories, which is decent when compared to a takeaway green curry. But it also contains 32 per cent of your daily salt allowance. What’s the truth?Rob Hobson, nutritionist and author of The Low Appetite Cookbook tells me, ‘Nutritionally this has a lot going for it. There’s a substantial amount of plant protein alongside an impressive 22g of fibre per pot, and the ingredients are largely recognisable whole foods like spinach and sweet potato.’ There is moderate saturated fat from coconut cream but this is ‘a genuinely healthy convenience option and a strong choice for people looking for a quick meal without compromising on ingredient quality’.What’s the verdict?Instant lunch or dinner with a notable level of nutrition sounds good to us – particularly when you compare it with other ready meals. And we can attest to this keeping you full for ages. Just be mindful of salt levels if you’re eating lots of instant snacks during the day.Our ratingRating:
