The suspects, identified as Akaninyine Eretus, 40, and Uduak Essien, 35, are currently in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) as investigations continue.
The Cross River State Police Command has confirmed it arrested two suspects over the alleged murder and mutilation of two men in Ibonda, Creek Town area of the state.
The suspects, identified as Akaninyine Eretus, 40, and Uduak Essien, 35, are currently in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) as investigations continue.
According to the police, the incident came to light on May 28, 2026, at about 3:30pm after one Mmawan Okon reported at the Creek Town Police Post that his father, Mr. Okon Ikon, had gone missing.
