The 25-year-old star has been on the telly before, in an Irish language docuseries.‌The documentary aired on TG4 in 2025. The four-part series dived into the issues facing young people in Ireland, their cultural attitudes, and their everyday realities. Sean, who was referred to as Fitzy in the programme, explained to press prior to heading into the villa how he was involved in the documentary due to having two jobs.‌"I did a documentary in Ireland called Gluin Z, which translates to Generation Z," he said. "It was about me being a Gaelic footballer and a primary school teacher."‌As well as teaching, playing Gaelic football and appearing on TV, Sean also has an active TikTok account with almost 100,000 followers. His TikTok is how he got scouted for Love Island - he posted a video saying what he would do as an Islander, which was seen by production. In the video, he said he would "scare" his fellow Islanders when they were sleeping or kissing. He said: "You know when people are sleeping or kissing? How has no one thought to scare them?‌"So let's set the scene: Say this is my bed and their bed. You get on the ground, army crawl, get off the floor and then go: 'Ahh!'" He mimed jumping at a couple with his arms in the air. "Can you imagine? They're never going to kiss again. It might come across as creepy, but who cares? It's funny."When asked by press if he still plans on doing that now that he is heading to the villa, he vowed: "That's the plan and there's lots more to come!"‌He’s hoping to be the joker of the villa: “I don't think there's been anyone with good craic and who is a bit tapped on the show before. I want to bring that to the villa."It's what he wants in a girl too. Sean explained to press that while his type could be described as "female", he is hoping to meet someone that gets his humour and is as "weird as I am". If they have a Liverpool accent, then even better! What he doesn't want is someone fake or arrogant. When asked what he dislikes in a girlfriend, he said: "It would have to be cockiness or people who are two-faced. There's a fine line between confidence and cockiness, and when people are on the side of cockiness, it's very off-putting. With regard to two-faced people, I can't stand them. If I find out someone who I'm friendly with is bad-mouthing me behind my back, I won't talk to them again."Article continues belowBut his funny bone isn’t the only thing about him that will come in handy with the ladies. The Galway-based Islander is ready to use his accent to his advantage. “The Irish have a charm and I will be using it.”Love Island returns Monday 1st June at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVXLike this story?
