The Centre Against Injustice and Domestic Violence (CAIDOV) has issued a scathing open letter to the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, accusing his administration of failing to show empathy and urgency following the abduction of school children and the killing of a teacher during an attack on a school in the state.
In the letter dated Friday, May 29, 2026, the advocacy group said the attack had once again exposed the growing insecurity facing schools and families in Oyo State, warning that fear, trauma and uncertainty were gradually replacing learning in many communities.
The open letter was signed by CAIDOV Executive Director, Gbenga Soloki.
“We write this open letter with grief, anger, and urgency,” the organisation stated.
