President William Ruto’s affordable housing project has been dealt a blow after the Environment and Land Court stopped the construction of 15,000 affordable housing units in Langata, Nairobi.
A three-judge bench faulted the Ministry of Housing and state agencies for commencing the project without conducting a meaningful public participation and environmental and social impact assessment.
