The Acer Nitro Blaze Link (GN722) is a new gaming handheld with a 7 inch FHD+ display and some intriguing features like an operating system based on Debian Linux and a body that weighs just 464 grams (1.02 pounds). But before you get too excited, it’s also designed to be a relatively inexpensive handheld made for game streaming games from more powerful hardware. It has just 1GB of LPDDR4-2133 RAM, 8GB of eMMC storage, and an 18 Wh battery. Those should be fine for the intended purpose… and not much more.Debuting at Computex in Taiwan this week, the Acer Nitro Blaze Link isn’t meant to be used as a standalone gaming PC like the more expensive Acer Predator Atlas 8 or older members of the Acer Nitro Blaze family. But it is designed to let you comfortably game anywhere you’ve got a decent wireless connection. It measures 286.9 x 109.8 x 33.5 at its thickest point, has a pair of ergonomic grips, and features all the usual game controller features including dual analog sticks, a D-pad, action buttons, and shoulder triggers. The Nitro Blaze Link has a 7 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel 5-point touchscreen display, stereo 2W speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, and support for WiFi 6.It also has a USB Type-C port with support for 15-watt charging… but that’s all it officially supports. Acer says it’s not meant for transferring data or connecting other devices.Instead, the idea is that you can pair the Acer Nitro Blaze Link “seamlessly with Acer devices like the Predator Helios 18 AI or Acer Nitro 16” gaming laptops to stream games from your PC game library over a local network. It’s unclear from the Acer press kit whether the handheld also supports cloud gaming from services like NVIDIA GeForce Now, Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, or Amazon Luna. The Acer Nitro Blaze Link should be available in North America in the fourth quarter of 2026 with pricing details announced closer to launch.

Acer unveiled the Nitro Blaze Link (GN722), a 464g streaming-only handheld with a 7" FHD+ display, Debian Linux, 1GB RAM, and 8GB storage, launching in North America in Q4 2026. With no local processing power and USB-C limited to charging only, it targets users who want to extend their existing gaming PC or laptop over WiFi 6—not a standalone device, making it irrelevant for any stack that doesn't already include Acer gaming hardware.
