A resident of Oganenigu community in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State has cried out to President Bola Tinubu, Governor Usman Ododo, and other political leaders over persistent violent attacks that have forced villagers to flee their homes.
The distress call was made in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by former Kogi West senator, Dino Melaye, showing an empty community deserted by residents following renewed violence.
Speaking in the video, a resident who identified himself as being from Aloko Oganenigu lamented the ordeals of the community, and appealed to government authorities and security agencies to urgently intervene.
“This is Aloko Oganenigu. Oganenigu is made up of 17 to 20 communities that combine to make up Oganenigu,” the resident said in the video.
