Grace Adams-Short, who shot to fame on Big Brother 2006, says the show's host Davina McCall was a 'b***h' to her, while praising Dermot O'Leary and Rylan Clark12:35, 29 May 2026Updated 12:35, 29 May 2026A former Big Brother housemate has made explosive claims that presenter Davina McCall showed her the cold shoulder during her time on the programme.Grace Adams-Short, now 40, shot to fame on the reality series in 2006 alongside memorable contestants including Nikki Graham and Pete Bennett. Her departure from the house became notorious when she hurled a glass of water over fellow housemate Susie Verrico following a dramatic spell in the Big Brother residence. The show proved pivotal for Grace personally, as she encountered her future husband Mikey Dalton there, with whom she has since welcomed four children.Looking back on her Big Brother journey nearly 20 years on, Grace revealed that her encounters with Davina have left a lasting impression.Speaking to Betway, Grace stated: "Davina was never really friendly to me. She was a b***h! Even during my eviction interview, I could tell she didn't like me. And I've never crossed paths with her again."The Mirror have contacted Davina's reps for comment.Despite this, the reality personality, who currently operates her own drama school, had warmer words for other presenters associated with the programme, including Dermot O'Leary and Rylan Clark, who subsequently became the show's main host.Grace praised Dermot, now a This Morning anchor, calling him 'lovely' and describing him as the 'nicest, most genuine guy' after she mentioned she had to spend a week with the star on Big Brother's Little Brother post exit. She recalled a time he stopped when he saw her on Regent Street and was 'lovely' to her mum too.The Big Brother star also revealed that Rylan is 'such a great guy' and that they'd actually met before his X Factor breakthrough 'when he still had ginger hair'.Her husband isn't the only connection Grace has maintained from the programme, as she revealed she still stays in touch with several former housemates - though notably not Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, who 'still has a problem with me'.She recalled that during a virtual catch-up in lockdown, Aisleyne abruptly ended the call when other housemates enquired about Grace's marriage.Regarding Nikki Graham, who sadly died in 2021 due to complications from anorexia, Grace disclosed that she 'reached out' to her before her death. Nikki had concealed her long-standing battle with the eating disorder, which began in childhood, from Big Brother producers.Though she experienced immense public affection from the programme and later reality television appearances, her mental wellbeing severely declined in 2011, leading to her being sectioned the year after.Nearly ten years later, a comparable crisis occurred, with Graham's family attempting to crowdfund for alternative treatments after those available on the NHS 'failed', but tragically it proved too late to save Nikki's life.Grace stated: "A few of my Big Brother housemates would reach out over messages with Nikki before her death. It was me, Imogen [Thomas], Richard [Newman] and Glyn. We'd speak to her from time to time. It was really sad."Article continues belowLike this story?
