English footballers continue to dominate the global transfer market, with several record-breaking deals in recent years pushing fees well beyond the €100 million mark.
According to Planet Football on Friday, here is the current list of the seven most expensive English players in history, based on widely reported transfer fees.
1. Jack Grealish – €117.5m
Jack Grealish remains the most expensive English footballer of all time following his 2021 move from Aston Villa to Manchester City. The deal made him the first £100m English player and set a new benchmark in the transfer market.
