US rapper Ace Hood has cancelled his scheduled Nairobi performance, accusing the event promoters of breaching their contractual agreement.
In a statement posted online, the Florida-born artist announced he would no longer perform at the concert set for June 5, 2026, in Kenya’s capital.
“I regret to inform you that due to promoter’s breach of contract, I will not be performing at this year’s Furaha Festival in Nairobi, Kenya scheduled for June 2026. I hope to have the opportunity to visit Kenya in 2027”, read the rapper’s statement on his social media.
Ace Hood said the decision followed unresolved disputes over the terms of the engagement and that he was left with no choice but to pull out to protect his professional interests.
The rapper expressed disappointment at the turn of events but stressed that he remains committed to his fans in Kenya and across Africa.
