A section of Football Kenya Federation (FKF) delegates has called a Special General Meeting (SGM) to discuss, among other things, the April 24, 2026, resolution made by nine members of the federation's National Executive Committee that led to the suspension of FKF president Hussein Mohammed.

In a letter addressed to the acting FKF General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Dennis Gicheru, 66 out of 94 delegates, among them branch chairpersons and club officials, also want the SGM convened to discuss the implications of the April 24 resolution on the activities of the federation.
