Seoul subway Line No. 2 resumed normal operations early on Friday following an overnight safety inspection due to the resumption of demolition work on a partially collapsed overpass, the city subway operator said.
The underground inspection began on Thursday night after the Ministry of Employment and Labor approved the city government's plan to resume demolishing the Seosomun Overpass in Seodaemun District, western Seoul, which partially collapsed on Tuesday, killing three people and injuring three others.
