Police raided seven locations, including the Seoul Metropolitan Government, on Friday over the deadly collapse of the Seosomun Overpass that took three lives on Tuesday.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency began search and seizure operations from 9 a.m. at seven locations, including the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s urban infrastructure headquarters, which ordered the demolition project, and the headquarters and field offices of the main contractor and subcontractors.

“We deployed a total of 53 personnel, including 33 officers from the metropolitan investigation unit and 20 labor inspectors from the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office,” police said. “We will thoroughly analyze the materials secured through the search and seizure operation to clearly determine the cause of the accident and where responsibility lies and carry out a strict investigation.”
