Toronto gas prices dropped 10 cents per litre Thursday morning, offering modest relief after a month of near-record highs. But for drivers and gig workers who depend on their vehicles to earn a living, the cut barely makes a difference.
Toronto drivers got a small break at the pump on Thursday morning as gas prices fell by 10 cents per litre across Toronto.
However, for drivers such as Toronto contractor Len Smith, the drop offered little comfort. Watching the total on the pump race well past $100 as he fuelled up his black Ford F-150, Smith noted that even a $170 fill-up wouldn’t top off his tank.
