The undertaker, who has been played by Gareth Pierce since 2020, was trapped in an abusive relationship with his partner Theo for almost a year on the world's longest-running TV soap.‌But at the end of a much-hyped Murder Week, in which five antagonists all residing on the Manchester backstreet were teased as potential victims, it was Theo who ended up dead. Now, the soap's latest whodunnit is in full swing and, currently, Todd's adoptive daughter Summer (Harriet Bibby) has been charged and is currently in prison.‌Earlier in the week, she told DS Lisa Swain, who has a history of locking up innocent people, that she had seen Tyrone Dobbs on the night of the murder and, if he could corroborate that, she could prove her whereabouts on the night, and therefore her innocence. For some reason, Tyrone knowingly denied ever having seen her and, Swain, having found Summer's brooch in Theo's flat, decided she had more than enough evidence to get the CPS to authorise murder charges against the university student.‌Summer's friends Asha and Amy stopped Todd on the street and told them that they had spoken to her on the phone that morning, and "couldn't see a way out" of the mess she had found herself in.A look of guilt washed over Todd's face, and over at the garage, Tyrone looked on as he listened into the conversation. When Todd, Sarah, George and Christina were trying to enjoy a quiet lunch in the Bistro, Theo's ex-wife Danielle stormed in and outright accused him of murder, claiming that he killed Theo to get his hands on his life insurance.‌Later on, Tyrone made a phone call to a mystery recipient. He said: "Apparently, Summer's in a right state. That's on us! We are putting her through hell. We need to meet up soon and we need to talk about what happened the night Theo died."Viewers are none the wiser as to who he was on the phone to, but, following Amy's interaction with Todd, they believe that he might decide to make a confession to the police whether he is guilty or not.‌Taking to X, to react to the whole drama fan said: "Yes, Tyrone, squirm in your immense guilt for letting Summer wallow in prison for a crime she didn't commit," whilst another said: "Tyrone acting guilty for lying!"A third wrote: "I'm starting to worry now that Todd will go down to the police station soon to confess to Theo's murder & make a very believable case it was him.
