PROSPERIDAD, AGUSAN DEL SUR, Philippines — Several student-athletes from the Eastern Visayas delegation suffered stomach upset during the ongoing Palarong Pambansa 2026 in Agusan del Sur, regional officials confirmed on Thursday.
Affected were members of the Arnis, Volleyball, and Rhythmic Gymnastics teams who experienced abdominal pain, vomiting, and loose bowel movement on May 26, according to the delegation’s official statement.
The athletes were immediately attended to by the Regional Medical Team and physicians on duty. Officials said all patients responded well to treatment and that no severe cases or dehydration were recorded.
