The Geely Xingyuan, sold overseas as the EX2, was the top-selling car in China last year. While it was yet again the most popular EV in April, Geely launched an upgraded model offering more range at the same low price.

Geely launches the upgraded Xingyuan (EX2) EV

Starting at about $10,000 (68,800 yuan), Geely’s compact electric hatch was the best-selling new energy vehicle in China in 2025, with over 465,000 units sold.

According to the most recent sales data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), the Xingyuan was again the top-selling car in April, beating the Xiaomi SU7 and the Tesla Model Y.

With the competition heating up, Geely launched the upgraded model on Thursday with improvements across the board.
