The 14-year-old boy whose body was found in the River Thames has been named as Baltazar L'Quy.The teenager, from Oxford, tragically passed away on Wednesday, becoming the eleventh person to die in open water during this month's heatwave.Baltazar was a member of the Oxford Timorese community which expressed its deepest condolences to his family.In a tribute, the Oxford Timorese Community Association said: 'Thank you for the love you shared, the lessons you taught, and the beautiful moments you gave us'.A member of the community said: 'This has been a very painful moment, not only for the family, but also for the Timorese community, in Oxford and across the United KingdomThey said his mother would like to remind other parents to make sure their children stay safe in the water and are accompanied by an adult. Emergency services rushed to a pond off Galley Hill Road in Swanscombe, Kent, yesterday afternoon following reports of concern after a young boxer entered the water near Northfleet at around 2.15pm. Police confirmed on Thursday morning that the body of a teenage boy was recovered following a search operation, as a fresh heat health alert was issued today. The latest death follows those of at least nine other people in incidents in the sea and in lakes during the Bank Holiday heatwave, which saw temperatures reach 35C in some parts of the country.
