MANILA, Philippines – Ayala Corp. has signed a series of agreements with Japanese partners to expand collaboration on intelligent cities, digital finance and data-driven services in the Philippines.

The country’s oldest conglomerate said on Thursday that the memoranda of understanding, signed in Tokyo and witnessed by President Marcos, aimed to support broader access to digital and financial services while strengthening economic ties between the Philippines and Japan.

The partnerships involve Ayala Corp., Globe Telecom, Mynt—the parent company of GCash—Mitsubishi Corp., Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group and Japanese telecommunications firm KDDI.
