Emmerdale star Shebz Miah, who plays Kammy Hadiq on the ITV soap, has teased whether his character will be joined by family members after Kammy's secret was confirmed19:05, 28 May 2026Kammy Hadiq's heartbreaking secret has been revealed on Emmerdale, and it could lead to some new arrivals.‌The Mirror caught up with Kammy actor Shebz Miah recently to discuss what is going on with Kammy, with much more to be revealed. In the latest episode, Kammy finally told girlfriend Belle Dingle about his estrangement from his family.‌We found out this week that he was homeless and sleeping in one of the barns on Robert Sugden's farm. After he was accused of being the arsonist and was taken away by police, Kammy was forced to admit what was really going on.‌In a devastating scene, Kammy opened up about how the death of his father sent him spiralling. His sister attempted to stop him from getting in trouble, only for her to get into an accident with a car Kammy had stolen.Kammy took the blame with the police and his family, and he fled the family home, believing he had failed his mother. Since then he's been homeless and has not made contact with his loved ones.‌Belle comforted her partner as he finally shared his turmoil, and why he left his family. But might we see his sister or maybe other relatives join Kammy in the village for the storyline?Shebz certainly hopes so, and he teased it could be the case to The Mirror. Calling for a "shake-up", he told us: "We need a bit of spice and drama, you know?"I think at the moment, it is obviously heavily orientated around the iconic families that Emmerdale has, which is completely fair and valid, but I think we do need something new to shake it up a bit. And with Kammy's introduction, obviously coming in and stealing the quad and getting up to mischief, I think there's a lot of unanswered questions, and I feel like all of that does stem from his upbringing and potential trauma, potential lost relationships, all sorts of stuff behind the mask.‌"It's going to be exciting to actually uncover all of that. So, yeah, I'm super excited and I'm excited to see who they bring in and what happens, and see where it goes from there."Explaining the twist with Kammy's sister, he added: "The secret is that Kammy does take the rap. However, there are further consequences as well, as a result of this situation.Article continues below"There’s a whole box of worms there. I don't know fully yet how accurate it is, but I do know it's teasing into something bigger."
