A written text attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei, the third leader of the Islamic Republic, addressed to the members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), was published, warning of the danger of "division" and "social fragmentation" in the wake of the war and economic pressures.

In this message, the creation of social rifts alongside military, economic, and propaganda pressures is described as part of the "enemy's blueprint," and pro-government forces are urged to refrain from fueling political and social disputes.

In the text, Mojtaba Khamenei emphasized that even "justifiable" differences of opinion must not turn into "conflict and division" within society, and that political and intellectual elites, particularly members of parliament, are responsible for maintaining internal cohesion. These warnings come at a time when officials of the Islamic Republic have repeatedly expressed concern in recent days over the economic consequences of the war and the potential for rising social discontent.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic warned that commodity shortages and price hikes following U.S. economic pressures could lead to the outbreak of fresh unrest in the country.
