The comedian looked very different as he appeared on the ITV mid-morning show today alongside musical theatre star Marisha Wallace. Jason and Marisha will appear in comedy musical Something Rotten! across the UK.‌Speaking about his new project, he said: "Nobody goes out for a good think, you come out and have a laugh. I love musical theatre and I love comedy as well, and it's really hard to find funny musicals - this is hilarious!"‌Jason had previously explained how he'd turn to padel to help him ditch the weight after struggling with his size for years.‌"I've been on it with padel. I've lost probably about three stone, I think, in around 18 months. I got into it, and then I got a bit obsessed with it, and we've got a little fitness group, me and a load of dads," he said."I was able to get personal training, I was able to see a nutritionist and, you know, do it properly." However, he insists it is the friends he made that helped him keep going.‌"But fundamentally, irrespective of being able to throw some money at it, actually, that WhatsApp group with me brother and a couple of mates, and just every so often posting a picture of, like, one of them has just done a run, or one of them, you know, we're all in the same boat, we're just trying, you need somebody else to just try and be there for you," he added.Jason said in the past he had thought about his weight his whole life. He explained that when he struggled to fit into clothes he was trying on or when he would get out of breath whilst playing with his children.Article continues belowHe would use his weight as part of his jokes, explaining how he had been given the nickname 'the fat Michael Owen' when he was heckled for his size at just 17-years-old."I started to write jokes about being overweight – you can take the power away from the bully or the heckler – they were my defence," he explained how he'd use his size in his own comedy.Like this s tory?
