Richard Madeley was kicked out of a controversial maximum security prison after his line of questioning appeared to “overstep the mark”.The presenter visited Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo (CECOT) in El Salvador, where thousands of prisoners are serving life sentences, as part of a new Channel 5 documentary.After the Good Morning Britain presenter grilled prison director Belarmino Garcia about the inmates’ living conditions where they have “absolutely nothing to do”, Mr Madeley and his crew were asked to stop filming.The team were ordered into a side room where Mr Madeley was told to cease questioning the conditions.He reflected: “The pace suddenly quickens so perhaps asking about conditions here is pushing too far. I think I may have overstepped the mark.”
