The police on Tuesday reunited an eight-year-old boy with his mother after he was found wandering alone near an educational institution at Mathikere in north Bengaluru.According to the police, an unknown person alerted the “Namma 112” emergency helpline on May 26 at around 9.52 a.m., after spotting the missing child near the college. The Namma 112 control room relayed the message to assistant sub-inspector Narasimhmurthy and head constable Naveen Kumar, who were on duty in the Hoysala-13 patrol vehicle attached to the Sadashivanagar Police Station.The officers reached the spot within 14 minutes and gathered details about the child and found that he had wandered away from home. Subsequent investigations revealed the child’s mother had been searching for him, and the police traced her and safely reunited the boy with his mother. Published - May 28, 2026 08:25 pm IST
