Tech firm Gorilla announced on Tuesday that it had secured around 5.5MW of capacity from NeutraDC, the data center business of Indonesian telco Telkom Indonesia.

Gorilla, which describes itself as an AI infrastructure solutions provider with solutions spanning smart cities, network, video analytics, cybersecurity, and IoT, intends to scale its offtake from NeutraDC to approximately 18MW by November of this year.

“Based on current AI compute market pricing, fully ramped and utilized deployments associated with this capacity could represent a revenue opportunity exceeding $2 billion over a five-year period,” said Gorilla CEO Jay Chandan.

Gorilla made its first foray into Asia last September after it signed a three-year, $1.4 billion contract with Singaporean cloud provider Freyr to develop a network of AI-powered data centers.
