Real estate firm NorthWind Estates on Thursday said it has won a bid to acquire 5 acres of land in the Yamuna Expressway region for Rs 189 crore.The company in a statement said that it has emerged as the highest bidder in a recent auction conducted by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).The company secured a 5-acre land parcel in Sector 22D for Rs 189 crore.Manoj Kumar Garg, Chairman, NorthWind Estates, said, "We see the Yamuna Expressway region entering a completely new phase of urban and economic transformation."Infrastructure projects of this scale create long-term ecosystems rather than short-term real estate growth, he added.NorthWind Estates is based out of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
