Hamouda spent time in the Sporting KC academy but joined Birmingham in 2024. He made 44 appearances for the club before his 18th birthday.

Werder Bremen finished 15th in the Bundesliga, the top division of German soccer, this season.Hamouda is a talented young defender who is the latest American to head to Germany.The likes of Christian Pulisic, Josh Sargent, Gio Reyna and others have left American academies to sign in Germany like Hamouda, while Bundesliga clubs has spent transfer fees to acquire Ricardo Pepi, John Tolkin, Kevin Paredes and more from MLS clubs in recent years.
